In the world of USONI, Ophelia is a kind of anti-system model, a free woman, walking outside the box, an altruistic individualist, a positive rebel... a resistant.
The first images of Ophelia are those of a humble, modest woman whose only ambition is to give birth to the baby she carries within her under the African sun and not in the land of shadows that France has become. On her way to Lake Turkana, Ophelia will transform herself from a simple woman who does not want her baby to be born in the dark into a unifier of the people of the world, freeing them from the yoke imposed by a system. Qui Est Ophelia ?
Ophélia est une sorte de modèle anti système, une femme libre, marchant en dehors des clous, une altruiste au pays des individualistes, une rebelle positive… une résistante.
Les premières images d’Ophélia sont celles d’une femme humble, modeste dont la seule ambition est de donner naissance au bébé qu’elle porte en elle au soleil et non dans le pays de l’ombre qu’est devenue la France. Paris, autrefois la Ville des Lumières, est en 2062 la ville où la lumière s’est éteinte à jamais.
L’analogie avec ce qui se passe depuis des années pour des femmes « du sud », notamment d’Afrique où dans certains pays, des femmes n’ont pas d’autre choix que de fuir leur maison pour donner une chance de survie à leur enfant… pour aller trouver le soleil qui a disparu de leur vie. Pour combien de femmes ce soleil d’Afrique ne brille plus ! Ce soleil peut brûler leur peau, assécher leur lèvres, tuer leur bétail mais il ne brille pas pour elles. Et elles pensent que le soleil peut briller pour elles en la verte Europe… une amère désillusion dans la plupart des cas !
Ophélia est née dans l’obscurité, dans un monde d’où la lumière a disparu. USONI est l’histoire de son voyage vers la lumière. Elle porte la vie en elle, comme toute femme enceinte mais dans le cas d’Ophélia le symbole va beaucoup plus loin, beaucoup plus haut…
Ophélia porte en elle la vie d’un monde qui va complètement disparaître au profit d’un monde système qui a imposé ses valeurs – non-valeurs plutôt – conduisant à la destruction de l’humanité.
Au fil de son parcours vers le Lac Turkana, Ophélia va se transformer d’une simple femme qui ne veut pas que son bébé naisse dans l’obscurité en une unificatrice du peuple du monde, le délivrant du joug imposé par un système. Le Système a fait du monde entier son esclave, remplaçant le fouet par le profit, l’argent, le pouvoir…
En réunissant toutes les sphères de la population, Ophélia crée un tsunami que rien ne peut arrêter. Car tout comme on ne peut pas arrêter l’eau qui monte ou la pluie qui tombe du ciel, on ne peut pas arrêter un peuple qui s’unit pour marcher en avant, vers le futur… « Usoni »…
Ophélia se découvre en héroïne unificatrice du monde que le Système avait réussi, en quelques siècles, à scinder en deux, creusant un abîme entre « ceux qui ont tout et trop » et « ceux qui n’ont rien ou trop peu ». En faisant ouvrir les portes de Turkana City, elle force le Système à abdiquer ouvrant la voie au reste du monde.
L’histoire d’Ophélia est un conte de fée qui n’a ni prétention politique, scientifique ou philosophique mais plutôt un espoir de renversement du monde, la fin d’un monde trop injuste. C’est aussi un fol espoir de révolution d’une humanité de toutes les couleurs renversant un système également de toutes les couleurs et qui conduit la planète Terre à sa perte.
Oui c’est l’espoir du monde utopique de la chanson « Imagine » de John Lennon… un monde qui aurait pu être… aurait dû être… pourrait être… devrait être… serait… sera… « Usoni »…
