Jiwe IO: Building the bridge from local to global
For Jiwe IO, this meetup represents something much bigger than a single event.
One of the gaps we want to help close is the distance between African game developers and the global publishers, platforms and investors looking for new games, new audiences and new markets.
There is no shortage of creative talent across Africa. What is often missing is access: access to the right people, opportunities to pitch, direct industry feedback, publishing relationships and a pathway from building something locally to taking it into the global market.
Jiwe IO is positioning itself as that bridge.

Our platform already brings together African games, developers, creators and gaming communities. The next step is using that network to create more structured opportunities for developers to meet and pitch directly to publishers operating globally.
The Garena session in Nairobi is an example of what we want to do more consistently: identify strong developers and games within our community, prepare them for the opportunity, and bring global publishers into direct conversation with the people building games on the continent.
Over time, we want Local-to-Global Pitches to become a recurring part of Jiwe IO — giving publishers a window into emerging African games and giving African developers a much clearer route to publishing, distribution, investment and international partnerships.
For publishers, Jiwe can provide something equally valuable: a trusted entry point into African game-development ecosystems, local market knowledge, curated developer networks and communities already actively building and playing games.
Our ambition is simple:
When a global publisher wants to discover what is being built in Africa, Jiwe should be one of the places they come. And when an African developer is ready to take their game beyond their local market, Jiwe should be one of the bridges that helps them get there.
This is only the beginning.
