Job Description : Video Game Developer - Internship

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Game Developer to join our team! As an intern Game Developer at the company, you will be responsible for implementing game functionality, translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into functional and engaging games.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and implement game functionality.
2. Transform design specification into functional games.
3. Communicate with other team members.
4. Establish effective strategy and development pipeline.
5. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
6. Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and games.

Job Description : UI / UX Designer

We are looking for a very creative and motivated  UI / UX Designer who will improve the company's products to be more intuitive and user friendly. As the UI / UX Designer, you will handle tasks like collecting, researching, investigating, and evaluating user requirements and translate them into exceptional designs that deliver an outstanding and intuitive user experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and implement new designs
2. Optimize existing user interface designs
3. Test for an intuitive experience
4. Brainstorm and communicate with the development team, and other stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives
5. Develop creative, technical, and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
6. Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
7. Create prototypes for games, websites, interfaces, product ideas, and other related products
8. Test new ideas before implementing
9. Conduct ongoing user research into the needs and trends that relate to our business.

The successful UI / UX Designer should also have some team/project management experience.

Job Description : Administration Officer

We are looking for an Administrative Officer who will provide day-to-day administrative support to our company. As the administrative officer, you will handle administrative tasks like answering telephone calls, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, updating proposals, and filing documents.

Responsibilities:

1. Administrative tasks in relation to the company's operations
2. Maintaining and storing company records and other paperwork
3. Scheduling meetings and company activities
4. Handling the company's budget, financial statements and office reporting
5. Invoicing
6. Providing customer service and overall customer communications
7. Preparing reports on the companies performance across multiple categories
8. Creating, Updating and maintaining proposals and presentations

Job Description : Developer Outreach Coordinator

We are looking for a talented and professional Developer Outreach Coordinator who will drive developer outreach operations in the company. They will oversee the planning and implementation of outreach strategies and will be primarily responsible for engaging game developers, gamers and other partners in the broader community and cultivate positive relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including developer community events, workshops, esports events and other communication opportunities.
2. Prepare accurate records and reports of activities and audience participation
3. Nurture relationships with collaborative partners.
4. Drive the growth of the community platform, by increasing registration, engagement, and participation
5. Any other tasks assigned by the CEO

Job Description : Game Writer

We are looking for a creative video game writer to develop the plot and write the dialogue for a video game. Video Game Writers are responsible for imagining and creating the core of the game plot, characters and dialogue.

Responsibilities:

1. Working to design the story for a video game during pre-production.
2. Working to create characters and describe the game narrative, genre, game play and play style.
3. Create pitches for mission scenarios to help tell the story of the game.
4. Work with game developers to author character dialogue that supports game design goals while staying on-brand / story.
5. Where necessary create gamification elements, structures and descriptions
6. Review and update existing scripts / content as necessary, to meet expectations and understand the effect those updates have on the game narrative as a whole.
7. Ensure that all narrative reference documents are up to date.
8. Understand the gameplay elements and assess how they could affect the development of the story.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Certification or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Ability to discuss and explain design options.
4. 1-3 years of experience in script writing or relevant experience.
5. Understanding of narrative game design and the role that dialogue and text have on player experience.
6. Enthusiasm for African games, content and stories.
7. Professional writing samples are required for consideration.
8. Must be avid players of games from multiple genres.
9. Ability to multitask across multiple projects and activities.
10. Any Experience in other areas of game development is a plus.
